During the first half of Act One I was able to stay and capture the wonderful performances of the actors as they played these very beautiful and moving scenes. I was extremely impressed at the rich and delightful range of emotion they put into the dialog, and how deep into their character each had become. You would swear you really were standing just outside in the dirt street, humming along with Tevye in his wishful song on the joys of being rich, and then later peeking through the tiny window of his rough little house to listen in on the family.It was those incredible moments that I sought to capture in these photographs. Feel free to hum along those great songs as you enjoy the pictures. We'll start you out with the first chorus ...
Scene Two: "If I Were A Rich Man" .....Tevye and The Fiddler
Scene Three: "Sabbath Prayer" ...Tevye, Golde, Villagers

"May the Lord protect and defend you,
May he always shield you from shame;
May you come to be in Paradise a shining name
Strengthen them, oh Lord,
and keep them from the stranger's ways...

"May God bless you
and grant you long life..."

"...Do you think the moon
is this bright
everywhere around the world? ..."
